For the both of you

Thinking back of the decisions/indecisions and things I have done in the past, nothing is stupid. They only make me wiser and stronger.

Good to have you around…

There is one thing in this world that’s irreplaceable and hard to come by: those friends who know you inside-out and stand by you…

I dedicate this post to my two best friends, who never fail to make my vision clearer and the road ahead less trecherous.

A big TQ.

I am going to keep this entry short.
Mike Meyers says this in “Love Guru”:

“There are no failures,
Only early attempts at Success”.

Think about it.

Happiness is…

This entry originally appeared on http://ipodee.wordpress.com.

I found this quote from a friend who wrote this to me more than 3 years ago:

It takes a complete letting go of past hurts to step inside.

Happiness is a choice.

Happiness is the ultimate realization that everything was, and is, exactly as it should be.

It is not easy to find happiness in ourselves and it is not possible to find it elsewhere.

This little note of encouragement seems even more relevant today than it ever was, just as I finally felt I am beginning to regain or reclaim the happiness that should be mine, a long time in waiting.

In my early twenties, I used to ask myself, “What do I really want?”.
My answer for a decade has been, if you do not know what you want, it’s perfectly fine. You just need to know what you do not want. And hopefully from there, you will find what you want by law of elimination.

Turning 30, I thought otherwise.
I realized that by focusing on what I do not want, I was getting what I did not want.
I moved from one job to another, not that I hated them, but there was always a voice inside that tells me, I am more than what I am doing or have been doing.
Perhaps I was attracting the things I do not want, by giving them too much air time!
I was putting too much energy and thoughts into the things I do not want, hence making them happen all the time!

It may all sound very familiar to you.
My suggestion, look deep inside yourself, hear your own thoughts and find what you really want.
Focus on that and see the magic reveal itself.

Each of us will reach a point in our lives that we have that defining moment.
I had mine recently. I am very grateful for the sequence of events that has taken place. It has brought much insight into who I am and what I wanna achieve in my life.
I would like to share with you, the wisdom of the great philosopher Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe.
He says:

“Until one is committed there is hesitancy, a chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.
Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth,
the ignorance of which kills countless dreams and splendid plans.
That the moment one definitely commits oneself then Providence moves too.”

Remember, you are your own limitation.
Take that leap of faith and see the countless possibilities life has in stored for you.

Michelangelo

Never quite gifted in the arts, I am in awe with my hubby who can paint and draw, real well. Lately, I realised that the greatest gift I had was that I am the Michelangelo of my life, I paint who I wanna be, I paint my path. The brushes for this wonderful painting?

My mind and my thoughts.

So go on, be the Michelangelo of your life.

I was reading a copy of The Peak Magazine this morning and came across an article on Jim Rogers, the man who started the Quantum Fund with George Soros in the 70s. I liked what he said in the interview, “Invest in the things that you are passionate with”.

Prepare for what is to come in the future by investing in what you are passionate with. Remember, when the master appears, the student is ready. Are you?

I had dinner with Uncle Steve and Missy this evening. Uncle Steve shared his new venture, and how important it is to watch out for the pedestrian when pursuing your passion. He said,”You know you are focussed. You see the road ahead of you. One lane opens up to two, then two to four. Just when you thought u see the light at the end of the tunnel, a pedestrian comes in your way and you change your direction to avoid hitting the pedestrian”. He went on to explain that in life, there will be many “NO” people around, these are the people that will tell you no, you should not do this, are you sure this is what you wanna do.

His suggestion: Put at stop sign and watch out for the pedestrian. They should see your car’s headlight, hear your horns and know that they should get out of the way.

Chance

I attended a beauty event last week. This company prides itself for inventing their eye related products almost 45 years ago. And indeed, great products that were sold in almost 45 countries. When the founder was asked how he came up with this new collagen booster product, he said, “45 years ago, we chanced upon this wonderful eye product and we created an empire based on that. 45 years later, we wanted to do it again. The question was how to recreate the chance, recreate the opportunity? The answer is simple. Open your eyes to see the events happening around you. Put your ears to the ground and listen to what others have to say. “
